The Tampa Bay Times featured the opening of In Living Color: Andy Warhol and Contemporary Printmaking as its cover story. Drawn from the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, the exhibition will be on view June 20th through September 20th at the Tampa Museum of Art.
The exhibition features many of Andy Warhol's most iconic screenprints, as well as prints by other artists influenced by Warhol including Louise Bourgeois, Chuck Close, Keith Haring, and Frank Stella. It's divided into five sections — experimentation, emotion, experience, subversion, and attitude — and each places Warhol's work in conversation with that of other artists who use color as a tool to shape how we interpret and respond to image.
