Jordan D. Schnitzer gave a lecture on Andy Warhol, Contemporary art, and his passion for collecting and sharing art through the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation at the Telfair Museums' Jepson Center. In the talk, Mr. Schnitzer explains Andy Warhol's vision to democratize art: “He wanted to make it available for the public, and he wanted to create this message that art is all around us, not just in museums.”
The lecture is featured on the Savannah Podcast by Orlando Montoya, who notes that "Schnitzer himself carries Warhol’s principles into our own time ... With 92 exhibitions under its belt – and a special focus on underserved communities – the foundation truly has helped to democratize art."
