Reporter Chris Willis interviewed art collector and philanthropist Jordan D. Schnitzer on KGW Live at 7. Schnitzer discussed the exhibition Andy Warhol: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, now open at the Portland Art Museum.
Jordan Schnitzer shared his passion for collecting the work of contemporary artists, naming Andy Warhol as "the most important artist of the last 50 years." He has spent decades collecting Warhol's works, 250 of which are on display in this exhibit. The exhibit is the largest retrospective of Andy Warhol's prints ever to be mounted.
Jordan Schnitzer also expresses the importance of taking children to see art exhibits and introducing art at a young age. The exhibit is on view through January 1, 2017.
