Kally Patz of the Daily of the University of Washington reviewed the current exhibits at Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington, including Under Pressure: Contemporary Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, on view through October 12th. Patz notes that the exhibit’s artists, such as Lichtenstein and Warhol, challenge the traditional reputation of printmaking as something less significant than original pieces. Overall, she describes the “playful and experimental” exhibit as “excellent in its insincerity” for the social themes explored by the colorful prints.
