Jeff Jahn interviewed print scholar and Senior Curator, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Richard Axsom about the life and work of Andy Warhol for PORT, the Portland art blog. Warhol's work is currently on display at the Portland Art Museum in the largest retrospective ever presented, Andy Warhol: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.
In the conversation, Axsom and Jahn share their insight on several Warhol portfolios in the exhibition, including Electric Chair, Endangered Species, and Flash, which Axsom calls "his greatest portfolio."
The exhibition includes over 250 Warhol pieces from the collection of Portland philanthropist Jordan Schnitzer, curated by Sara Krajewski at the Portland Art Museum, and is on view now through January 1st, 2017.
