The Park Record's Scott Iwasaki reports that philanthropist Jordan D. Schnitzer will lend the artwork for the Kimball Art Center's inaugural show at their new location. The exhibition, Picturing the Iconic: Andy Warhol to Kara Walker, features 90 works by renowned contemporary artists Andy Warhol, Kara Walker, Jeff Koons, Chuck Close, and more, and will open as part of the Kimball's ARToberFest celebration on October 24th.
"When he heard our story, Jordan was very happy to loan us his collection and make a strong statement to the Park City community to show that we plan to program incredible quality exhibitions that are better than people have seen from us," said Kimball Art Center Executive Director Robin Marrouche.
In addition to the opening of Picturing the Iconic, ARToberFest will include children's activities, live music, great food, and tours of the new space from 11am-5pm.
Picturing the Iconic will be on view through January 3, 2016. Read the full article.
