The Montana Museum of Art and Culture at University of Montana presents a public lecture by Jeremy Canwell, PhD, curator of current exhibition Present Tense: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, on Thursday, November 3rd.
In the lecture, titled "An Introduction to Semiotics," Canwell will explore in-depth the role of text, signs, and symbols in art. The lecture will begin at 7:00pm in the Masquer Theatre, following a gallery tour of Present Tense at 6:30pm in the Meloy and Paxson Galleries, PAR/TV Center.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
