Park City Magazine's Melissa Fields visits the Kimball Art Center's new facility and notes, "Though quite a bit smaller than it’s longtime home at the bottom of Main Street, the Kimball’s “Kearns Campus” ... checks all the boxes of the previous space: a large, light-filled gallery; classrooms; staff offices; and even a pottery studio."
The Kimball celebrated the new location's grand opening with the opening of a new exhibit - Picturing the Iconic: Andy Warhol to Kara Walker. Drawn from the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, over 90 contemporary artworks will be on display through January 3, 2016. Fields says of the exhibit: "Colorful, thoughtful, accessible best describe this rare collection of original pieces and prints; an apt reflection of the optimism and hope all those who love this community art center have for it’s future."
