Micah Schweizer interviewed art collector and philanthropist Jordan D. Schnitzer on Wyoming Public Radio's "Open Spaces" program on February 12th. The interview focuses on the exhibit Emancipating the Past: Kara Walker's Tales of Slavery and Power, on view through May 14th at the University of Wyoming Art Museum.
Mr. Schnitzer also discusses how he began collecting art and sharing his extensive collection of over 9,000 contemporary prints through the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation. "I thought, my gosh, as much passion as I have for the art, sharing it brought me even greater joy," he tells Schweizer of his first experience lending art to a museum exhibition. Now, he has organized over 100 exhibitions at more than 75 museums.
