In an early look at the new exhibition at the Portland Art Museum, Andy Warhol: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, Jordan Schnitzer explains Warhol's fascination with advertising and pop culture, and how it developed from his early career in commercial art.
More than 250 Warhol prints are on view in the exhibit, open now through January 1st, 2017, making it the largest ever of its kind. The show includes the artist's famous Marilyn Monroe and Campbell's Soup Can print series, along with lesser known works, such as his early commercial illustrations.
