The Park Record reports that art collector and philanthropist Jordan D. Schnitzer is lending the artwork for the Kimball Art Center's grand opening exhibition, Andy Warhol to Kara Walker: Picturing the Iconic. The Kimball Art Center will be relocating from its current building in Park City's Old Town to its new home in Bonanza Park and will celebrate with a free grand opening reception on October 24th.
"We asked Jordan to partner with this exhibit, because he is someone who we really look up to and respect," Kimball Art Center Executive Director Robin Marrouche said. "He is lending us a host of modern and contemporary artists." Artists represented in the exhibition include Andy Warhol, Kara Walker, Chuck Close, Keith Haring, and Jeff Koons, among many others. The works are drawn from the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation.
