Abstract painter and sculptor Chuck Arnoldi has been a mainstay in Los Angeles art since the early 1970s; a collection of some of his finest works will be on display at the Fisher Museum of Art at the University of Southern California through April 4. Drawn from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer, scion of Oregon's leading "art family," this show provides a primer in Arnoldi art—hitting all his strengths with major examples and capturing his aesthetic—but under-represents the small-scale sculptures appertaining to Arnoldi's quirky side.
