Though Pendleton has become a recognized brand name for several items including the Round-up, woolen products, and whiskey, recent tourism offerings have branched out and will not only increase revenue to the city, but also improve quality of life for its residents.
World-class talent and brands arriving in the next few months include:
- An exhibit of work by Chuck Close, one of America’s most famous living artists, is showing at the Pendleton Center for the Arts with the help of one of the premier collectors of modern art in the world, Jordan Schnitzer.
- Harley-Davidson, the most famous American motorcycle brand with its own legion of loyal followers, is the title sponsor of this year’s Pendleton Bike Week.
- Maroon 5, one of the biggest touring acts in the country, is playing the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest at the Round-Up Arena. That will help prove that you don’t always need a cowboy hat to party in Pendleton.
Other events include Zac Brown Band, author Ursula K. Le Guin and the radio show, Live Wire.
