Sherrie Wolf’s paintings invite viewers into richly layered worlds where classical art history meets contemporary still life. Known for her masterful technique and playful juxtapositions, Wolf blends hyperreal depictions of everyday objects—flowers, fruit, glassware—with iconic works by Old Masters. These compositions are not mere homages; they are conversations across time, reframing familiar imagery through a modern lens.

Wolf’s work explores themes of identity, perception, and the act of looking. By placing reflective surfaces and self-portraits within her scenes, she implicates the viewer in the act of observation, blurring the boundaries between subject and spectator. Her paintings are both technically precise and conceptually rich, offering a fresh take on art historical traditions while celebrating the beauty of the ordinary.

Born and based in Portland, Oregon, Wolf studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Chelsea College of Art in London, where she developed her fascination with European painting. Her work has been exhibited widely and is held in major public and private collections.
